A 25HP Star-Delta panel is an electrical control panel designed to start three-phase electric motors, typically by reducing the high starting current a motor draws when initially switched on. This is achieved by initially connecting the motor's windings in a star configuration (Y), which reduces the voltage across each phase and thus the starting current. After a short delay, the panel then switches the motor to a delta configuration (Δ), where the windings are connected in a closed loop, allowing the motor to run at full power.
